Find out how to pandemic proof your pet business here...

Dom:Last question. "Are we worried about lockdowns affecting business, affecting pet businesses?"

I personally am not too worried about this. Especially not at the moment. I think in the Western world, certainly. I know this is worldwide, but I think most of my clients are UK or US based, or certainly Europe based, and I think we're in a better position than a lot of people in the world.

I think we've been through the worst that we're ever going to go through with this. Again, touch wood.

I think we've been through the worst that we're ever going to go through, or we went through the worst that we're ever going to go through with this pandemic last year.

I don't think there's any chance of any complete and utter lockdowns like what we had originally.

I think if you have a business where you have a fantastic relationship with your clients and you have regular communications with your clients, you do follow up with them, you send them paper and ink, you send them newsletters, they get gifts, all this kind of thing.

If you make your service about more than just... So like for dog walkers, you have to make your service about more than just letting a dog out for a piss and taking them around the block.

For dog groomers, you have to make your service about more than just shaving a Shih Tzu.

For doggie daycare owners, you have to make your service about more than just like, "This is a safe warehouse that we're going to put the dogs in whilst you're at work." It's about more than that.

The businesses that thrive, the business that don't just survive, the business that are going to dominate their local town, run for years, really impactful businesses, these businesses are about more than just the thing that they do.

I hope that answer doesn't come bite me back on the bum, but I'm really not worried at all about the lockdowns and stuff at the moment.

It's business as usual here, it should be business as usual for you as well.

If you are worried about the lockdowns, go back, read my other Pet Business Articles, and implement some of the things that I've talked about.
